Wow -- even TMZ gets it

TMZ: These 2 videos are circulating, showing 2 very different interactions between civilians and cops, and it's pretty eye-opening.

...(T)he white guy...is enraged and uncooperative, hurling profanities, jumping out of the truck and even threatening to kill the cop...all as the officer patiently listens. It never escalates into physical contact.

Now compare that with...a black man (whose) hands are up...yet one of the cops kicks the guy in the back...

Sebastian County, Arkansas — Newly released dash cam and body camera footage from Sebastian County Sheriff's Office shows a Fort Smith woman being arrested after she hit multiple law enforcement vehicles and flashed a gun at a Sebastian County deputy during a pursuit. The driver, Jennifer K. Porter, 27, was arrested on suspicion of eight counts of felony aggravated assault, fleeing and felon in possession of a firearm. A vehicle and pistol were reported stolen Tuesday, May 5, around 10:30 a.m. in the 17000 block of Highway 45 near Hackett around 10:30, according to a press release. The car was spotted at 11:15 a.m. on Highway 71 South near Greenwood speeding around 100 mph.

During this time, Porter rammed at least four law enforcement vehicles including one she disabled during a pursuit in a stolen pickup truck and also attempted to ram an innocent vehicle which just happened to be on the road. The pursuit continued on multiple county roads and state highways. Arkansas State Police were able to catch to the vehicle on Highway 71 South just north of the Jenny Lind community. Altogether, one Sebastian County Sheriff's Office patrol unit was disabled and three ASP units also suffered damage because of the chase. No one was hurt during the chase or PIT maneuvers.

I smell the blood of a woman scorned.

Too bad about all the police cars being damaged, but they were trying to stop a truck going 100 MPH. Maybe they can raise the money for replacements and repairs by selling the video to Dodge for a Ram truck commercial.

WTSP.com: A Florida sheriff personally apologized to a 91-year-old woman and her family after he says the actions of one of his deputies lacked compassion...

(T)he woman...(was) handcuff(ed)...in her own driveway...because she tried to walk away from him as he ticketed her...Her offense? (S)he had run a stop sign on her way home.

The handcuffs bruised the 91-year-old and caused her to bleed because she was on blood thinners...

According to the Instagram post, the man in the video was "minding his business" after a Sunday brunch when he found himself surrounded by Sacramento police officers and sheriff's deputies.

"Can you please tell me what's going on then?" a woman is heard saying.

"He has a warrant for his arrest," an unidentified officer claimed. "That's all I'm going to tell you."

It was a case of mistaken identity. They arrested him for "resisting arrest".

No one is asking for the police to brutalize more white suspects. All suspects or citizens should be treated with respect and given every chance to resolve issues without being disrespected or physically assaulted.

The guy I the truck was way out of line and rude. The officer was professional and didn’t escalate a verbal situation into a physical one. The guy was a complete asshole, but the cop just took it like he should have. That’s the job.

She says, "This is my car. This isn't even his car," when the cop reaches for her phone. Sounds like a stranger recording it to help the man out.

There was another video on DU a few days back that showed a black man telling about a traffic stop that didn't turn out bad, except that it held him up for 15 minutes for no reason. He said he looked over to see a white woman recording it all on her phone to make sure he'd be okay. I hope more of this is going on now.

doesn't sound like freedom. It's quite literally putting a gun to someone and saying do what I tell you or I get to kill you. This core aspect of policing needs some reform.

The weapons and race factors are very frustrating for their own reasons too.
