The thing that sticks with me about that teen in Kenosha is the grin...

... on his face as he strutted around with his rifle. He clearly really believed in vigilantiism. He thought he was in the wild west. That's so scary because it says that our education system is not up to competing with fiction. I despair over the ability of teachers to instill values. Especially when parents are obviously not up to the job.

...to expect teachers to instill values. That's a parental function.
The teachers job is to impart knowledge & encourage critical thinking. Not to instill values.
