Censured by the VOA on how VOA's foreign journalists are being expelled

‼️I got censured by the US public broadcaster @VOANews. All VOA services received orders yesterday to unpublish/not publish my interview to Mauricio Claver-Carone, Special Assistant to President Trump, on how VOA's foreign journalists are being expelled from the country. [Thread]

...For context,I explained in this other thread the critical situation in which @VOANews foreign-born journalists are in. The federal agency that oversees VOA @USAGMgov is trying to expel dozens of these journalists from the US. Some,to repressive countries👇
READ AND SHARE: Michael Pack, CEO of the federal agency that oversees @VOANews is putting foreign jouranalists hired by the US government at risk. He is forcing some of them to go back to non-democratic countries. All this, during a pandemic.

To 'censor' means to remove, block, or interfere with the communication of another. To 'censure', on the other hand, means "to find fault with and criticize as blameworthy."

I suspect that if he had been censured for his work, he would have received some kind of verbal or written reprimand.

..at the bottom of the page ...

CLARIFICATION: I meant to say I got *censored. Although, since I got kicked out of the system, I guess I also got censured.
