If the Go8 still get good intel, maybe there's a chance that they don't want to have the Senate rebukes asking questions and spoiling methods and sources.

responding to a comment wondering where our Congressional leaders were, it does take a little time to come up woht statements which adequately address the issue but contain no profanity. In the circumstances, I feel they did pretty well.
