But I also think we get NC and OH.
As long as GA is really close it will help to tame the more right wing element in the State who will want to at least appear moderate to avoid the inevitable Blue State conversion.

and on edit, the only thing nicer for this S.Carolinian seeing his state not bright red is seeing Texas as pink and heading towards purple.

presidential vote from the downticket vote just to see the battles that ensue between one party in the Executive and one party controlling both houses of Congress.

We tend to think we'll cope by winning both houses of Congress. All we'll get is court appointments. As for the rest, I don't think we have any idea how we'll get anything on earth done if that happens.

I hope they're not so organized as to succeed with such a split vote.

and incorrigible.

Tell her that her candidate will do whatever Trump wants if he wins -- which means taking away every safety net she has, whether it's social security or medicare or whatever next pandemic will kill her.

People have to be made afraid of "fairness" toward Republicans this time. That they've proven so untrustworthy that they'll never look out for Americans, especially in times of disaster.

You don't have to act like you're right, just that it's the only logical thing a person would do who has a command of facts and who wants to keep this Republic together.

Lay out oligarchic donation numbers. Death toll numbers. That AZ is #8 in national hot spots. What a new, expanded national healthcare setup and Supreme Court could do for her that McSally won't.

I don't know her or you, of course, so this is just my opinion.

I want as much blue as possible. I want the brown and pink to turn blue. I want the light blue to turn dark blue. I want Trump and his minions to be destroyed in this election. I want us to get the presidency, the senate, the house and as many of the other elections as we can.

the feeling doesn't last long because of all the bad news I'm reading on DU today. I have just had this feeling for a very long time (call it instinct) that the GOP and Trump know the election is in the bag. Not because they know the majority of voters want them but because they've had the fix figured out and lined up for a long time now.

Today I'm just really frightened, and I am not usually a pessimist or someone that allows stuff like this to unsettle me. But I am unsettled after reading some of the articles today.

This country is in a world of mess right now and I am truly afraid that all hell will break loose if it's stolen again. These people in the streets and at the DC protest will not go peacefully away if they see the election taken from them, nor would I blame them.

Be afraid today. I feel you.

But rest and Buck Up for tomorrow! This is not a lot of Democrats' first rodeo!

Channel your fears into factual perspective building, and into fighting this out. Eat well, rest up. Read informative stuff. Get out in nature. Talk to your most spirited friends.

We're gonna stay on message and get out there and get others to vote!

We're gonna fight this damn thing past Nov 3!

You're in a good place here. Just read what uplifts and inspires you. Don't be reactive to problem flogging. People do it out of habit but it's time to unite behind all the arms we have to bring to Joe's and the Democrats' cause. Which is to keep this Republic.

I get out in nature every single day. I am very healthy and eat mostly healthy foods and exercise every day. I read informative stuff all the time. I'm an avid reader. I talk with my friends who are politically savvy and informed and we are all starting to worry.

I want some reassurance from the people in the know of the Dem party that there are steps in place to stop the election interference, but I'm not seeing that. That's what has me afraid. If we don't win the Senate, then Biden's hands will be tied as much as Obama's were.

We've focused too much on Trump and not enough on the Senate races. I've been donating to some Dems in other states running for Senate such as Mark Kelly and Amy McGrath and Sara in Maine.

The media headlines don't help when I see that they're doing the usual "Trump gets a huge bounce after the RNC convention" and "Trump closes in on Biden"...etc. That sort of headline does sway people whether we want to admit it or not.

I don't know. I'm mostly worried about them just throwing out ballots saying they weren't received in time. What do we have to prove that they were received on time? I'll be dropping mine off but not everyone can do that.

I'm glad to know you're outside and elsewhere away from political noise.

That doesn't mean that when you attend to General Election politics, you need to focus on the horse race that media want. Move on as soon as you recognize it, which is usually in headlines.
We've learned lessons. We're not easy to distract and trick now. We are our own worst enemy, when it comes down to it. We have to keep the lawyers fighting and the voters voting so that we can say we did the best we could.

As with you, many people really are planning their voting, the way you are.

I didn't expect a single post from me would make you feel better.

It's just that, as we head into the home stretch, the prize is more important than our feelings and stresses.

I refuse to let any white noise and headlines bring me down.

Don't even read any problem flogging around here. It's not productive.

Hang in there. I usually like to err on being a wrong pessimist over being a wrong optimist, but I have to give that up between now and next year because it's an energy drain.

I've decided to have faith that Americans want what our party wants and will act accordingly, because the polls prove it.

Leaning Biden:
NV - D
MN - D
WI - D
MI - D
PA - D
NH - R

Tossup:
AZ - R
OH - R
NC - D
GA - R
FL - R

So the good news is if we get all the leaning Biden states led by a D gov (meaning all of them except for NH), we win.
