1. What is actually going on in Portland?

It seems like the protests there are almost entirely peaceful - and have been for most of the time - and that a good portion of any violence is due to confrontations with RW groups. Am I wrong?

3. This is what trump wants.

This is how he'll exploit a peaceful demonstration and create chaos to drive the narrative. He wants to make it big. Bigger than the pandemic. The more he exploits the protest the less time the media will be covering the pandemic and trump's other failures. All it takes is a couple well placed agitators to turn a peaceful protest into a full blown riot situation. Enough news headlines to turn on the fence voters to trump's corner.
