Because right to work legislation does help create jobs. McDonald's jobs with no benefits.

have done such a great job with messages. When a lot of them see the term "right to work," they mistakingly think that it is actually pro-union.

A more appropriate name would be "denying workers freedom of contract" laws. A bit cumbersome, though.

Interesting related column in the NY Times today, 6 out of 10 of the highest unemployment states are "right to work" (anti-union) states.
