Considered opinion on policies and aspirations don't make for good "contest," so they mindlessly pursue the idea of a "race" even when the outcome is no longer in doubt.

At least, that's the way I saw it decades ago when I still watched that swill.

questions, I just want to smack them....hard. The answer should be "why should I help the other side?" if you can't come up with one that would help them dig the hole deeper.
