Been to Kern County, CA? Scranton, PA? Eastern Washington? A huge chunk of NJ?

The obtuse and weird regional bigotry and sometimes ignorance on DU has always gobsmacked me.

3. This is due to suppressing data and suppressing testing.

More testing would find more cases that don’t result in deaths, thus lowering the death rate. If testing is limited to those showing symptoms or those being hospitalized, the death rate will be higher.
