(99,711 posts)Their M O goes something like this. Troll posts bad news or alleged bad news under the guise of concern. Then some lame Puke with a website lampoons the concern said troll's post generated.

(106,886 posts)The rest, eh. Implications of panic among Dems ring awfully hollow as the Repubs splinter and abandon their nominee.

(13,390 posts)Maybe we can post about mobilizing and positive activity in that area rather than throwing our hands up and saying "they're going to steal it."
We should keep an eye on the legal maneuvering and celebrate our victories in that arena. But, at the same time, now is the time to focus and winning and what we can do to make it happen.

(69,014 posts)That's how we know where to look. Like, "voter fraud" and lo and behold, they're trying to keep millions of us from voting. Like adulterer Newt wanting to impeach Bill for, basically, adultery.

(2,770 posts)Yes, of course Romney is actually way ahead of Obama. It's just that the 'polling outfits' are all lying.
These people really are delusional.

No campaign or Presidency is perfect. To point out a concern such as with an unfulfilled campaign promise then get labelled a "concern troll" is ridiculous.
DemocratSinceBirth
(99,711 posts)Nobody is discussing "unfulfilled campaign promises." What is being discussed is how some trolls deliberately bring bad news, get some DU members in a panic, and then some Puke with a website lampoons said panic.
on edit- If there was a blog about "unfulfilled campaign promises" I suspect the Puke who hosts the website in question would have titled that particular topic "DUMMIES Think Kenyan Socialist Isn't Communist Enough."

(106,886 posts)Both have merit. Both are pertinent. Both are related to a broader context.
As you say - No campaign or Presidency is perfect.

And it's more about the exploitation of the panic of concern trolls cause than concern trolls themselves,

(41,990 posts)They're a peculiar blend of not-particularly-interesting, extremely specific, low post sites that hardly seem to be the same person. Why DU holds any onterest for him at all is unclear, and his calling out of specific posters strange to say the least. Does he know someone? Is this a stalking-by-internet?
Oh well, naught's as queer as folk.

(114,904 posts)I abhor what you're doing. It's a blatant attempt to shut out what you consider unfavorable ops or articles. I'll post what I want, when I want.

(99,711 posts)One of the posters stated that a poll that had Obama ahead had him behind:
"Rasmussen and Gallup have Romney ahead... I know, it's crazy... but it's true." (with emoticon(s)
I pointed out that not only he was ahead in that poll but was ahead in ten or so of the twelve national polls at that time. The response; nothing...
What is a reasonable person to infer when a person brings negative information, has it corrected, and still clings to the notion that the negative information is correct?
I would think he or she would happy it wasn't true.
If you think I am trying to quell dissent nothing can be further from the truth but I hate Puke trolls with a passion. If a Puke wants to engage me in the battle of ideas or any kind of battle he or she should be forthright about it and not hide behind the guise of concern.
