Let's be clear about 45 and COVID-19...

It's not just that he knew the truth in January and elected to soft-pedal it to "avoid panic."

It's that, in March and April, he pushed vigorously to "re-open" the country, insisting that we needed to do so immediately so we could have "full churches by Easter," encouraging defiance of local orders, applauding the whole "anti-mask" FREEEEEEEDUMB!!! movement, and attacking governors who attempted to take steps for the protection of their citizens, including threatening to overrule them and order their states to re-open, citing some non-existent "absolute" authority held by the POTUS to interfere with state laws.

The only possible understanding that would make these even remotely subjectively acceptable would be that 45 really believed that there was no great risk from the virus. Now we know even that wasn't the truth.

45 was not just downplaying the fire in the theater to avoid a stampede for the exits -- he was loudly encouraging people who had gotten out to go back in and watch the movie, knowing that they'd meet certain death inside.

There are no words to describe that level of evil.

My "Worst President Ever" t-shirt is a damn lie....

I can't wear it anymore, every time I put it on it burns me with it's falseness...

He was worried about his image, his ego, his re-election over Americans , especially his own supporters, lives. He knew Americans were dying , and he still promoted rally's and unsafe gathering, and did everything he could preventing our medical professionals from getting all the protective equipment and medical supplies , intentionally while knowing how deadly this virus was. Calls for resignation , and nothing short are due now from media , newspapers , and the American people. This happened because he's a sadist and and a fascist , and thinks hurting others gives him more power. America has its Hitler now, but it could continue to get a lot worse if he's not forced out now.

to run on the stock market. Trump didn't give a shit if people died as long as plants stayed open. Look at how he intervened in keeping meat packaging plants open regardless of unsafe conditions.

Before Covid he thought he was a shoo-in for easy re-election. He downplayed and politicized the virus response to prop up markets and employment numbers as long as possible no matter at the cost to American lives.

His other intent was to punish and turn voters against Democratic politicians by denying help with testing and PPE to states with Democratic governors and condemning their attempts to contain virus.
