(4,846 posts)Do crazy and unconventional stuff to distract the other speaker or the audience. So no one is paying attention to Hillary but instead focusing on him.
I fully expect him to do some other crazy stuff this year.
I thought it was disrespectful and crazy in 2016 but apparently, people loved him for it. We live in crazy time.

(115,869 posts)it isn't clear yet whether the candidates will be on the stage together, or how large the audiences will be, or even if there will be any audiences. https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2020/08/14/presidential-debates/ Without feedback from an audience Trump is at a psychological disadvantage because audiences feed his ego. He won't like bloviating to a mostly empty room. He will also be unable to creep up and loom behind Biden like he did with Hillary since even if they are on the same stage they will have to keep a distance away from each other. Also, Biden is as tall as Trump actually is (not as he claims to be), so the maneuver would be ineffective (and it's the sort of stunt he's more likely to use against a woman).
