I would vote for a bit more socialist, while some would vote for much more socialist or even tons more socialist.

Government FOR the people -

The government will govern in a way that is beneficial to all the people of America.

Elected officials will not be swayed to benefit special interest groups
Elected officials will govern in a way that is balanced and takes into consideration the wishes of all the people.

If 50% want to be progressive and 50% want to be conservative we should have rules and laws that consider both halves of the country

Gee, with health care we seem t be able to do just that! We provide heath care that allows the concerns of all people to be considered. If you want to partake in certain offerings of your health care package - you certainly can. The problem comes when one group trys to say that "I don't want to use all the offerings and I don't think anyone else should either." Sorry folks - you get to choose how to live your own lives but you don't get to choose how I run mine.

I pick my church
I pick my house
I pick my car
I pick my food and meals
I pick my own cloths

If you don't get to make your own choices and someone else makes them for you then we just have communism. That's not what wer're about as a country.

I will support your ability to choose your lifestyle
But I will fuck you up if you try to choose mine, too!

This year the teabaggers get voted into obscurity.
Let's be reasonable: I 'll leave you alone and you leave me alone!

They claim they hate big nanny government and yet they want big nanny government telling us who we can and can not marry, what we can and can not smoke, what we can and can not do to our bodies!

They don't want to pay taxes and yet red states seem to need the most when it comes to our tax dollars.

All public services should be managed by public means, but individuals would still be able to have free enterprise within reason.

I've been a member of a trotter revolutionary socialist party, so I have quite different understanding of what 'socialism' means. And also what are the inherent problems of socialism.

Yeah, I think the tilt on privatized profits and socialized costs for too many
corporate entities in this country needs to be better balanced in the
customer's favor.

There are over 23 billionaires just in the D/FW metroplex alone.

The richest one in the area, of course, Alice Walton, with $26.3 billion.

I love reading about her escapades ...

"Walton has been involved in at least three automobile accidents. During a 1983 Thanksgiving family reunion near Acapulco, Mexico, Walton lost control of a rented Jeep and plunged into a ravine, shattering her leg. She would undergo more than two dozen surgeries and is said to suffer lingering pain from her injuries. In an April 1989 incident, she struck and killed 50-year-old Oleta Hardin, who had stepped into a road. No charges were filed.[13] In a 1998 incident, she is reported to have hit a gas meter while driving under the influence. She paid a $925 fine and served no jail time.[14]

On October 7, 2011, her 62nd birthday, she was again arrested for driving while intoxicated in Weatherford, Texas, after a dinner with friends in Fort Worth. Walton's attorney released a statement acknowledging the incident and expressing regret.[15][16]

Walton is divorced, having been married briefly in her 20s ..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Walton

I guess she needs all that $$$ to pay off the families of the people she mows down while under the influence ...
