...I'm departing for a remote location on Friday for a two month period. The good folks at the election office in Colorado took my ID, verified my registration and handed me my ballot. It is now safely tucked at the USPS to be delivered tomorrow back to the election office. I may very well be one of the first persons to cast a ballot in the General Election in the state.
So, with pride, I say, I've given you the lead Mr. President, take it home.
Forward.

And my whole family is Republican, too, especially my mother and brother who keep the TV on FIXED News.
My grandmother, who actually voted against FDR, has been the only one to smarten up. She voted Democratic for the first time in 1992 and called to tell me she'd voted for Bill Clinton. I told her that I did, too, but we shouldn't tell the others...
Hang in there! You've come to the right place. When I joined, I was lucky I knew who my representatives were, but now I can recognize half the Senate - and know where they stand. DU is a wonderful resource. DUers often come up with breaking news first and there's not much that someone here doesn't know...
