'In many cases I do' - Trump claims to know better than experts

Trump said on Wednesday that a vaccine for COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, could be ready for distribution ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Hours earlier, Robert Redfield, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said a COVID-19 vaccine could be broadly rolled out by the middle of next year or a little later. Trump later disputed that.

“No I think he made a mistake when he said that,” Trump said, telling reporters he called Redfield. “That’s incorrect information....I believe he was confused. I think he just misunderstood the question, probably.”

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday warned that Russia is interfering in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections with a steady steam of misinformation aimed at Democrat Joe Biden as well as sapping Americans' confidence in the election process.
