Trump gets his ass whupped in debate one, then comes up with some lame reason for refusing to participate in the other two.

…Trump gets his ass whupped in debate one, but claims victory anyway. Said claim is immediately echoed throughout the right-wing media, while mainstream media, not wanting to be accused of showing “liberal bias,” avoid saying that one candidate did better than the other. Repeat for debates two and three. And none of them have any effect on how people vote in November.

But it's not about whether the echo chamber will applaud Trump's performance or not. If he gets hammered and is reduced to flubs and stammers, he won't want to be in that humiliating position again.

And there won't be an audience full of Trump-humpers to applaud him, or to boo Joe - which will no doubt drive The Dotard nuts.

That's why I think he'll back out of the last two debates. He can always say that he's too busy - what with running the country and all - to be wasting his time with Sleepy Joe.

I think no matter how bad he gets destroyed he’ll just say it was his greatest victory ever, up is down, black is white, don’t believe what you see and hear... wash rinse repeat...

curled up on the floor and crying like a baby, he and his supporters will swear that he won the debate. After winning, there would be no point in further debates.... That is the world we are living in today.
