Biden predicts Trump will leave office if he loses election

Joe Biden predicted that President Trump will step down if he loses his reelection bid in November, dismissing concerns that the president may seek to hold on to power even if he's voted out of office.

In an interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle, the former vice president said that Trump's efforts to sow doubt in the democratic process by raising concerns about voter fraud, particularly through mail balloting, amounted to a "typical Trump distraction."

"I just think the people in the country are going to be heard on Nov. 3," Biden said. "Every vote in this country is going to be heard and they will not be stopped. I'm confident that all of the irresponsible, outrageous attacks on voting, we'll have an election in this country as we always have had, and he'll leave."

Biden's remarks came after Trump twice refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses reelection.
