I get that she's a right wing nut job and would be a disaster on the court.

I also get the the federalist society is a right wing nut job organization created to abuse the political and legal processes to corrupt the judiciary into the tool of the right.

But this particular speech doesn't seem particularly controversial to me. I must be missing some context here.

Sounds like she's just saying sure, the constitution itself is hard to amend, but there's still plenty of change permitted, through legislation at the state and federal level, or constitutional change at the state level.

That's just stating the obvious.

Again, am I missing something?

Especially when speaking at the federalist society, which as i said was created to politically corrupt the judiciary.

Still not seeing the connection to the video though....

was that it should be overturned and the states should make their own laws, based on their local standards. Fits right in to what she's saying here -- legislation is easier to pass on a state level, and state constitutions are easier to amend. But when it comes down to it, if Roe v Wade is overturned, and a state ensures a woman's right to choose, do you think the R's are going to say "oh, okay--state's rights" ??? So I think her comments about states making their own choices is a dog-whistle w.r.t. that current talking point.
