Once Barrett is confirmed to SCOTUS will we have a confederacy of right wing dunces on the court?

Not quite, a confederacy composed of a beer-swilling rapist though, one that will also include a religious wacko (how soon can I vote down Roe v Wade?), an undistinguished right winger who no one remembers his name, another right winger who gleefully occupies a stolen seat, another justice, a mute, who apparently encountered a thieving cat who stole his tongue on the way to the SCOTUS bench, and a Chief-fu_king Justice who actually wrote, "The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race."

This group of course crowds so far to the right on the SCOTUS bench that it resembles a playground seesaw with six bullies weighing down the right end with the other end dangling in the air as the other three justices cling to it powerlessly.

Now back to John Roberts, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He actually wrote that bit of thought on how to stop discrimination, a bit of thought about as deep as a sidewalk puddle after a brief, summer shower once the sun has returned. Unbelievable. Perhaps it is believable though as we did get another glimpse of the Chief's depth in how he presided over the impeachment trial. For a while there I thought Justice Thomas was presiding as there was much silence and little input from the bench as Moscow Mitch and his crew rushed headlong to find trump innocent. The justice went along to get along. There was absolute no input added at all, no riding herd over the republican crew, no suggestion/insistence of witnesses to make the impeachment trial an actual trial. Nothing. And another stone was laid on the way to the fascism that is looming on the horizon.

I could've sat there and done that.

trump will be looking for yet another stone to fascism to be laid when he declares himself the winner on election night and demands a ruling from his even more conservative SCOTUS balance, new appointee and all, that the not-yet-counted "rigged" mail-in ballots be thrown out and state legislatures should appoint electors to cast their respective states' Electoral College votes. Red states outnumber blue states so their legislatures will of course choose republican electors and thus yet another election will be stolen for trump that way, if all the previous efforts of repug vote suppression operatives, along with Jr. trump's newly recruited and armed election night poll watcher/intimidator thugs, and of course trump's foreign government bots don't work for him.

Fascism r us if we don't get out and vote and pull all our friends and family out to vote in Joe Biden in a landslide in Nov.

Yep. Not a good one IMO. Perhaps he'll get a conscience like he did when Pres. Obama... brush Sep 2020 #3

Nope. Joe should just add about 100 more justices to the courts. They need the help. nt Boogiemack Sep 2020 #4
