Florida's already in deep shit, and we're still five weeks out from the election. Plenty of time for already-high caseloads to spike higher.

My guess - Gov. DeAthsentence boosting caseloads to scare people away from the polls, especially in Palm Beach, Orlando, Miami, etc. - densely populated areas with lots of Democratic voters.

Certainly there will be more cases in red counties. But plenty of residents there think it's a hoax, and in less densely populated areas (ex Jax and Pensacola), they'll likely face lower infection risks - with lower impact on GOP voters.

My understanding is about two weeks after mass events, tons of cases, many hospitalized, etc. Can't quite see how doing this five weeks out is a smart move. Not to mention the deaths it will cause. ALL of these decision makers should be held accountable for the deaths in their states. Not even trying to mitigate this disaster is criminal negligence IMO
