As a member of the Judiciary Committee, Kamala Harris will get to question Barrett at her hearing.

That's going to be a huge story when it happens, and allows Biden and Harris to spell out their opposition to this nomination in about as direct a way as possible.

I know the odds are stacked against us in terms of stopping this, but our side needs to do everything in our power to make clear what will happen once the Senate rams this through to make sure that Republicans pay for it at the polls. Having our VP nominee as part of the confirmation process seems like a big deal.

3. That is indeed a silver lining for us with Senator Harris on the SJC

and her being an excellent questioner.

However, the Rs will do everything they can to mess with Kamala like taking her off the campaign trail for extended periods of time (this is, to a significant degree, a virtual election, so even that stupid plan will likely backfire.)

If this is played well by our folks, we can reap even larger dividends than we think (for example, I saw we were competitive in both MS and AL senate races....goodness: if we get those and others, maybe this might be the Blue Tsunami we have been waiting for for so long!)

I could just see Mitch the bitch saying that we just questioned her and we don't need to do it again. But since that was by the previous congress, it is less likely

Her performance in 2017 (particularly dealing with questions about her religion) is what many think put her on the shortlist for SCOTUS in the first place.

Anytime you have questions being asked, you take the chance that something will be answered poorly.

If our folks handle this right, it will be a disaster for Trump and the Reputincans. She will likely get confirmed, given the Republican bootlicker senators probably have the votes, unless something new comes up.

That being said, good thinking folks are ENRAGED over this, and it's not just DUers and passionate Ds.

We will be avenged beginning January 3 and January 20, 2021.

they made it too easy for him to be the victim and did not play well. Harris has to demonstrate presidential cool and calm. I have no doubt she will
