Shouldn't the confirmation hearings be for ACB's husband?

From what little I've managed to read before gagging, ACB's fringe religion makes her subservient to her husband. Seems like he should be questioned.

This is only sorta tongue-in-cheek......

or his "head's" head?

Plus, she swore a vow to put her little cult before all else. That means her vow to that supersedes any loyalty she might have to the USA.

of the group have the final say on everything, period!

I think even right wing religions could have a problem with her connection to this group.

I think the handmaid and the husband's head are needed for approval, but I am not sure if there is a Head's Head who also gets to make SCOTUS decisions for her in this case.

It might be heads all the way down for a cult like that.

I consider fundamentalism by its very nature, and in any form, to be a threat to democracy, so yeah.

Democracy provides a wide umbrella that fundamentalist ideologies and religions can exist and function under, but they, in turn, are often antithetical and even hostile towards the basic tenets of the democracy that tolerates them.

Fundamentalism and oligarchy, (wealthy elites and corporations) are, to me, the two major threats to our experiment. Both are poised to subvert it if and when it is possible.
