"The CPD will be carefully considering the changes that it will adopt and will announce those measures shortly."..."The Commission is grateful to Chris Wallace for the professionalism and skill he brought to last night’s debate and intends to ensure that additional tools to maintain order are in place for the remaining debates," they said. It is unclear exactly what changes the CPD will adopt and whether the candidates will agree to them.

Come on, people. I know that your phony-baloney jobs are in peril because your name was plastered all over an event so off-the-planet chaotic that CNN's Dana Bash called it a "shitshow" on live teevee. But do you honestly believe that there is any tweak you can devise that will control the Republican incumbent? You cannot invent a rule that he will not ignore, and then break. You know it. I know it. The alien race that picked up Tuesday night's debate and decided to contact another, more civilized people knows it. Unless you can pad the walls of the studio, or arrange that the arms of the president*'s suitcoat tie neatly in the back, there's nothing you can do. There is no real solution beyond equipping future moderators with a trank-gun and a ball-gag.

Or not having any more debates until we're sure one of the candidates isn't insane.
