I hate to be the one to say this...

But once Trump is kicked to the curb, I seriously doubt that he’ll see a day behind bars.

Whether he’ll go into exile or will face prosecution for his crimes, I doubt that he’ll see the inside of a prison.

His kids? Oh... They’re all hosed, but Trump himself, there’s a handful of reasons why he won’t wear an orange jumpsuit.

I would love to see him perpwalked into a federal pokey some day, but I’m not holding my breath that it will ever happen.

This is America, and mediocre white men with money, influence and positional power all benefit from a system of so-called justice that goes out of its way to work in their behalf.

I don't really care what happens to his kids as long as they never run for public office and have no influence over public policy. I just want the whole Trump family gone.

If he hasn't been convicted?

Nixon's proceedings were stopped by Ford. But Trump would have to admit the wrong doing.

He also can't pardon Trump for any State Investigations.

I don't think the AG of New York or Lower Manhattan DA are stupid enough to do anything until January 22, 2021. I also don't think our beautiful blue Senate (January 4th) and House will be stupid enough to hold an impeachment and senate conviction of trump in January.

If Trump resigned, Pence could pardon Trump on January 20th for all federal crimes committed up to that point - even for crimes that are as of yet unknown to the federal government. The two biggest examples are Ford's pardon of all crimes Nixon committed between his 1969 inauguration and his resignation (The writing may have been on the wall, but Nixon had not yet been charged with anything) and Jimmy Carter's pardon of all draft dodgers (even if they had not been convicted and/or charged).

If he loses by a landslide, he's going to resign immediately after the election. Everything he does is to save his own ass, because he has a "me first" mentality. He even hates his own supporters.

Other than the NY Attorney General, there are ongoing federal investigations that would need a "Nixon-like" federal pardon from Pence. He would have less than two months to get that pardon for any federal crimes that he may have committed from Pence.

My only hope is in Letitia James.

I think may well go to prison:

William Barr
Louis DeJoy

Possibly:
Jared Kushner
Eric Trump
Now I'm hearing talk about Ivanka, but I don't know.

It's high time Wilbur Ross be fully investigated. He's unlikely to go to prison either, but there could be financial consequences for his decades of grifting.

Trump is a beast that should spend the rest of his days in a dungeon. But he won't see one day in prison. It would set a dangerous precedent.

The next time the Republicans hold the entire congress, they will impeach any Democratic president for cutting a fart. And they will then see to it that he spends the rest of his life in a dungeon with sadistic guards.

It seems that today's Republican Party has embraced the dark side. But why they did so doesn't matter. The reality is that they are a threat to democracy, our freedoms, and the equality and fairness that most Americans are striving for.

... we've actually become a bonafide Banana Republic.

No he probably won't go to prison, but he must be charged and tried properly for all the shit he's done. During the trials all the stuff should come out publicly, so his name will be destroyed forever. He should be fined into poverty, all his wealth should be confiscated, with nothing left for his heirs. Other than that, let him be confined to "house arrest" or something lame. I hate the thought of Chump getting this treatment, but we're not a Banana Republic.

I think the Germans had the right idea when they made it a crime to even talk about Hitler, or create any statues or pictures for his glory. They just wiped him out of their collective memory.

His future feels sketchy to me. When do Putin and his oligarchs run out of dollars and Fs to give. When does T become a liability. I'm thinking it's the moment that T regains the White House but Dems take the Senate.

I've been waiting for that liability line to be crossed because then it's out of the hands of our judicial system and squarely in Putin's court.
