"Radical Left"???? Where ? ? ? ?

In the late Sixties/early Seventies, there were leaders and groups that Nixon felt were "dangerous" due to their demonstrations and actions.

1. YIPPIES/Youth International Party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_International_Party#:~:text=The%20Youth%20International%20Party%20(YIP,founded%20on%20December%2031%2C%201967 )
2. SDS/Students for a Democratic Society (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Students_for_a_Democratic_Society )
3. Weather Underground (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_Underground )
4. Black Panther Party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldridge_Cleaver#Black_Panther_Party )
5. Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Ruben, The Chicago Seven
6. Eldridge Cleaver, Huey Newton

As of this date, there is no group or individual that resembles any of the above-mentioned. Antifa is a concept, not a movement or a group that has a manifesto.

There is no Radical Left. Democrats? Yes. Progressives? Yes. No Radical Left.

The funny thing is that if you break down actual policies they consider extreme left they have huge centrist appeal

Single Payer Healthcare
Raising taxes on the rich
Wealth tax on the most wealthy Americans
$15 minimum wage
free college and/or college tuition forgiveness
Green New Deal

all them when polled are supported by 60%+ of Americans. If 60% of Americans agree on anything it isn't by definition "radical".

...so that they can trigger their base into a "the Commies are coming!" stampede.

1990s Bill and Hillary Clinton were "countercultural McGoverniks", as Newt Gingrich put it, Obama was a "socialist", Rockefeller Republicans were driven to extinction for being "liberals", etc.

I support Democrats who will win.

When we have a Democratic super-majority we can argue about political policy. First we must win.

Until then we must fight the corrupt Republicans who do not support equal opportunity and justice for all, the separation of church and state, living wages, environmental protections, etc..

that LW terrorists blow up empty buildings and RW terrorists blow up people.

A federal analysis I read of domestic violent terrorist attacks over the past century divided their perps into 3 groups: RW non-Muslim terrorists, LW non-Muslim terrorists, and Muslim terrorists.

Muslim terrorists: 4%
LW terrorists: 2%
RW terrorists: 94%

More recently from the CSIS, which "divides terrorism into four broad categories: right-wing, left-wing, religious, and ethnonationalist":

Right-wing attacks and plots account for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994, and the total number of right-wing attacks and plots has grown significantly during the past six years. Right-wing extremists perpetrated two thirds of the attacks and plots in the United States in 2019 and over 90 percent between January 1 and May 8, 2020.

Btw, the feds define terrorism as "the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives." That Las Vegas killer doesn't qualify.

This whole radical left fear is completely imaginary. Empowered white redneck/racists are the scariest thing we face.
