Republicans need to be left in a minority for a really long time.
They should have no more chances to muck up the good that our Democrats do for the people of this fine country.

Imagine the advances Biden could do for America & the world, if given a full Dem Senate & House.

November is when Repubs are told to sit down & be quiet.

Why Bernie would offer up that comment at this time makes no sense. He has to know that Med4All is not widely approved even among Democrats. He also knows Biden has been clear about not supporting it.

Biden's intention is to strengthen and expand the ACA.

Unfortunately advocates of "Medicare for All" have rolled up all the various universal healthcare plans into one and have been calling them "Medicare for All", which is false and misleading.

As a matter of fact, only a fraction of that 70% of Americans really support "M4A".

I really like the improvements to ACA he has in the planning.

M4A pales in compare to it.
And after 4 yrs of hearing the words M4A, there still is no comprehensive nor affordable proposal.

Stick with the work & wisdom of Joe...💙

as it only pays 80% of medical bills. The rest is up to the patient or a separate supplemental plan that the patient has to pay for monthly.

We can do better than that. The important thing now however is to win the election and not get Dems riled up and divided over policies not yet in place.

from my employer. I have a supplemental policy that costs me $124 a month, Medicare is $145. My insurance from my employer cost me $210 a month and was easier to work with. I forgot you need a Part D plan for drugs, mine is $33 a month.

I think young people really don't understand what medicare is, they think you pay nothing or next to nothing, not really.

They carved out exceptions and put in provisions that made it lesser than, on purpose. There is no reason why Medicare should not cover dental, vision, and medications on its own. England has the NHS and Canada has a comprehensive system. And yes, I know that neither

I pay an additional $11,000 per year to cover my 2 children and spouse on my insurance. I am covered by my employer. Plus I have to have separate Vision and Dental too.

The coverages can be adjusted in Medicare and things can be fixed, but we are fighting lobbies for private hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and other providers who want to get paid.

I think that most people don't understand that Medicare was sabotaged from the beginning because there are groups out there that want to keep health care as a commodity and not something that all people have access to.

what could get through Congress and even then was razor thin. It became more popular as folks got used to it, and the idea was always to build on it.

ACA needs some reform, and adding a public option would be a strong next step. I see MFA in this harshly divided country as unrealistic. We have so much repair work to do that sucking the oxygen out of the room with that fight might be a mistaken priority.

The country is simply not as left as I am and for me, understanding that is (almost) as important as it is for Repubs to understand this is not the far right country they want either. This gives me patience, as long as we're moving in the right direction, and adding a public option is doing that imo.

First, he's said it before. Consistency is a good thing.
Second, he was among the architects of the ACA. Personal pride would compel one to improve & solidify an achievement that already worked for tens of millions. What would anybody expect him to say?

It is totally selfish not to pay for your health care through our SS system. Don't like it? Well, then come up with a better alternative but in the meantime, pay for what you are getting under the present plans you can get.

that made me unhappy because I could purchase my own insurance through the exchange.

Actually, to be honest, I LOVE the ACA. And the public option will get us closer to universal coverage.

Biden is committed to making the ACA better and better. If the Supreme Court tampers with the ACA, and we have both houses and the presidency, then M4A will be the only solution.
