(25,270 posts)this? The voting has begun. He's got a VP to back him up. Unless Pence tests positive as well.
Trump's a TV Personality and in his mind he's a Star. And you know what those stars say: "The Show Must Go On"

(10,158 posts)Every Congress seat is up this year, and a third of the Senate. Not to mention state and local elections. Since elections are run by counties for the states, "they" can not just go ahead and cancel it.

(15,270 posts)...even if Trump dies, when you vote for a President, despite the fact that you check off/fill-in/touch/punch a person's name, what you're really doing (where the major parties are concerned) is saying "I vote for sending a slate of Electors choosen by the Democratic (or Republican) party who will be pledged to vote themselves for this person I just voted for".
The election for the Electors goes on no matter what, even if the people named on the ballots aren't alive to vote for any more. The parties will chose replacements to stand in for deceased candidates, and the Electors will (most likely, if they remain "faithful" vote for those replacements instead.
