Why people here are always jonesing for the market to drop makes no sense to me. And in reality, Trump being tested positive is good news for the market.

who are VERY supportive of Biden. And not at all supportive of Trump.

Keep in mind that if Biden wins the election, there will be a slow but steady improvement in the fundamentals of our economy. Which will give a huge boost to the Dow. We are seeing hints of that already.

people want the stock market to drop before the election because that hurts trump. I've heard TONS of people say, "yeah i don't like his personality but the economy is doing great. look at the stock market"

and the reason it will go down today is simply because of uncertainty.

eg London down about 0.8%. So it's not seen as world-changing.

It's all about their tax breaks and sucking money from working people. The market will drop significantly.

Presidential health concerns and the Dow don’t play well with each other.

It will depend on what’s known at the open. Will the circuit breakers trip? Who knows.

EDIT: Futures down -329 as of 4:30 EDT.

The Dow closed at 27,819 on Oct 1.

A drop of 2,000 would be something like 7%. Big whoop. And honestly, I'll be quite shocked if the Dow drops anywhere near that amount.

Again, I'll comment that people here are constantly jonesing for a huge drop in the stock market. Apparently none of them have any money in the market, don't have a 401k or a Roth or any kind of pension plan invested in the stock market. Which makes me wonder if they have any money saved or invested at all. Hmmm.
