JFK presented to the public as a healthy, athletic man. Except that he wasn’t. He had Addison‘s disease And
IIRC, wore a back brace. And as for he and Jackie having a fairy tale marriage, they didn’t.

Not to mention FDR’s Physical condition. Not that he wasn’t a terrific president. But the general public didn’t know how bad his disability was.

Wilson had a stroke during his time as POTUS. His wife was basically running the country. The public didn’t know.

And of course Reagan had Alzheimer’s in his second term.

And I know it’s another country, but the media certainly presented the courtship and marriage of prince Charles and lady Diana like it was a fairytale event. Later on of course we found out differently.

So....maybe someday down the road we’ll know what was really going on with the Dotard.
