This effectively buries the tax story, his horrible debate performance, his open racism and undermining of democracy. It gives him all the attention, garners at least a little sympathy and allows him to be Lazarus risen when his “powerful constitution” throws off the disease. He can then say “see, it’s not so bad, open the country’” or try this miracle drug or any number of things.

23. Yes. My endgame bet has always been he fakes his own death to escape prosecution.

When it became obvious after the debate that he was going to lose the election by too large a margin to steal it, he shifted to Plan B - fake serious illness as an excuse for losing and plan extended "convalescence" in a country with no extradition treaty. His ego can't accept him losing because he is hated but can accept the "very unfair" circumstances that would lead to him stepping down for health reasons.

...I sincerely doubt that this would be the method he'd choose. Just like his ego can't stand facing defeat in the election, it wouldn't be his choice to look so stupidly wrong about COVID.

If he really wanted to fake his death, I think he'd go with a pretend "Antifa" assassination, or something like that.

The other thing going against reports of Trump's infection being a ploy or a fake cover story is that it's just so damned likely to be true given Trump's reckless behavior, his own and what he has encouraged (practically required) in the people he surrounds himself with. A bunch of 30%-false-negative rapid testing was a terribly weak shield to hide behind.
