I was listening to Video & Multimedia posts while I was working out and kept hearing stuff along the lines of, "no matter what you think of him politically, we must consider him as a person." Well, ok, I considered. As a person, he's a sadistic piece of shit that I have hated since I saw him on some talk show in the 70s. My very first thought way back then was, "what a horrible, self-centered, conceited waste of space." I remember Oprah calling him "The Donald." He has only gotten worse over the years. I hope he suffers. I don't give a flying fuck if he dies, but I really hope he suffers and is out of commission long enough to get his ass handed to him on Nov. 3 while he watches helplessly from his hospital bed.

Maybe that's why I'm not running for president. If I had stood 12 feet away from his toxic spit shower for 90 minutes while he KNEW his staffer had tested positive, I could not be as gracious as Joe Biden. And even if I hadn't been personally exposed, I could not be gracious because of the horrors he has unleashed onto us.

OK, I'd better shut up. But first, I'll just say I'm not sad to hear of Republican senators and reps getting COVID, except as it to relates to their proximity to people who actually are trying to stay safe and healthy.

People have been doing that for decades. It is because he is such a god-awful human being that people can't stand him. His chaotic politics are secondary.

Donald Trump has no redeeming qualities. I won't behave like a callous and cruel republican, but I can't find an ounce of sympathy for this man. I don't particularly wish him ill, as much as I wish him gone from our lives once and for all. And he can take all his weak enablers with him.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/trumps-coronavirus-diagnosis-underscores-lack-of-treatment-options-for-people-with-mild-forms-of-covid-19-2020-10-02

Trump has been treated with Remdesivir, his second coronavirus therapy, which is authorized to treat severely ill COVID-19 patients

President Donald Trump, who recently tested positive for the coronavirus, has been given a dose of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s experimental neutralizing antibody cocktail, in addition to Gilead Sciences Inc.’s remdesivir.

Trump’s diagnosis highlights one of the still challenging elements of the COVID-19 pandemic, that there are few treatment options available for patients with COVID-19. For people with severe forms of the disease, treatment can include convalescent plasma, the steroid dexamethasone, and/or remdesivir. For people with mild to moderate forms of the disease, there are no authorized or approved drugs, though two drug makers recently shared promising results for a pair of still-investigational antibody-based treatments.

“There really aren’t a lot of very effective therapies we have at this stage of the disease,” said Dr. Steven Shapiro, chief medical and scientific officer at UPMC, a hospital system based in Pittsburgh. He is not treating the Trumps. “The thing that we know that is most effective right now are steroids. But that tends to work later in the disease when someone develops the pneumonia.”

With the orange dump out of the way however, much damage to our nation may be prevented. A lot of damage can be inflicted between Nov. 4th and Jan. 20th of the following year - up to, and including, the lack of a peaceful transition of power. I would rather have this monster out of the picture and allow Joe and Kamala a peaceful transition.

The Spider and the Fly
by Mary Howitt

“Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly,
“‘Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I have many curious things to shew when you are there.”
“Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

“I’m sure you must be weary, dear, with soaring up so high;
Will you rest upon my little bed?” said the Spider to the Fly.
“There are pretty curtains drawn around; the sheets are fine and thin,
And if you like to rest awhile, I’ll snugly tuck you in!”
“Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “for I’ve often heard it said,
They never, never wake again, who sleep upon your bed!”

Said the cunning Spider to the Fly, “Dear friend what can I do,
To prove the warm affection I’ve always felt for you?
I have within my pantry, good store of all that’s nice;
I’m sure you’re very welcome–will you please to take a slice?”
“Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “kind sir, that cannot be,
I’ve heard what’s in your pantry, and I do not wish to see!”

“Sweet creature!” said the Spider, “you’re witty and you’re wise,
How handsome are your gauzy wings, how brilliant are your eyes!
I’ve a little looking-glass upon my parlour shelf,
If you’ll step in one moment, dear, you shall behold yourself.”
“I thank you, gentle sir,” she said, “for what you’re pleased to say,
And bidding you good morning now, I’ll call another day.”

The Spider turned him round about, and went into his den,
For well he knew the silly Fly would soon come back again:
So he wove a subtle web, in a little corner sly,
And set his table ready, to dine upon the Fly.
Then he came out to his door again, and merrily did sing,
“Come hither, hither, pretty Fly, with the pearl and silver wing;
Your robes are green and purple–there’s a crest upon your head;
Your eyes are like the diamond bright, but mine are dull as lead!”

Alas, alas! how very soon this silly little Fly,
Hearing his wily, flattering words, came slowly flitting by;
With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer drew,
Thinking only of her brilliant eyes, and green and purple hue–
Thinking only of her crested head–poor foolish thing! At last,
Up jumped the cunning Spider, and fiercely held her fast.
He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den,
Within his little parlour–but she ne’er came out again!

And now dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne’er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly.
