I am of the mind that it is immoral for the average citizen to show "class" to the people who are trying to destroy them. I think VP Biden is doing the right thing. POTUS represents the country and needs to exhibit "class". I don't.

You're getting into an area that involves religion, morals, upbringing, etc.

As a medical practitioner, you should know that you really can't scold people on stuff like this.

You're free to have whatever opinion of me that you like, but I'm not going to lie and pretend that I'm not at all sad that he got "the plague".

What I'm pissed off about is that each of the idiots put themselves in a situation where they were likely to catch and SPREAD (I wish I could make "SPREAD" bigger) to others who ARE following the guidelines that will slow the spread.

Feeling sorry for this monster is like feeling sorry for an arsonist when he burns his fingers starting your house on fire with your entire family inside.

So yeah. I wished it on him, and he got it, and I'm fine with that. Absolutely fine.

Democrats for the most part don't wish for the economy to suffer on behalf of upcoming elections.

That's different from maximizing political damage resulting from mishandled affairs by the other party, however.

Fox News seems to (intentionally?) get the concept of causality twisted up quite a bit.

Are we permitted to point out how he and his whole family endangered tens of thousands of people by hiding their exposure to infected people?

It has nothing to do with class when a sociopath is destroying our country and causing the deaths of thousands. I have 2 medical degrees. Which I don't need to understand the criminal liability this man and his enablers should be facing. He brought this on himself and it highlights just what a godawful disease his administration is. Why not save your lecture for DT. I don't see anyone here causing the deaths of almost a quarter of a million people.

That ought to allow at least a grim smile and sense of satisfaction.

He faces the fate he wished on others, and contrived, for thousands upon thousands of human beings.

I will refer you to a friend with whom I agree--a retired pediatrician--who wrote this:

I disagree with many of the comments currently circulating regarding 45’s recent diagnosis of coronavirus and the desire to wish him well.
A thought experiment – the day before the news broke, did I wish him well? Absolutely not.
I did not wish well to a serial adulterer, a racist, a con man who has a lengthy history of bankruptcies while cheating contractors out of their wages, an arrogant bully who ridicules the disabled, a man who rejoices in his ability to have any woman he wants and to grope them, a man with such a short attention span that he has long ceased getting meaningful security briefings, a tax cheat who paid less last year than the cost of a high-end television, a person who holds the highest office in the land but tweets lies as many as 60 times a day between 3 am and 7 am in any given morning. He has separated babies from their families and permanently damaged thousands of people. He is directly responsible at least 2/3 of our fatalities because of his prolonged statements about the “hoax” of COVID.
I still don’t wish him well. I have exactly the same feelings about him as I did 24 hours ago. 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁.
My thoughts about his outcome are about the nation, not him. About the people he has affected, not him. About the future of our democratic process, not him.
My questions:
What if he recovers after a brief illness? Would that simply make him bolder in his denial of the pandemic? Then I hope he stays ill for at least 3-4 weeks.
If he dies next week, changing the dynamic so that Pence has an opportunity to upend the election? Then I hope he doesn’t die next week.
If he doesn’t die, but gets really ill so that he’s on a ventilator for a month and then (as with so many others) is permanently disabled? If that improves the odds that his sycophants and party are removed from power, I’m all for it.
If it changes his base’s belief that the illness is illusory and overblown, causing them to start wearing masks and acting sanely, I’m all for it.
Indeed, if thousands of people in and outside of his base take COVID more seriously thereby reducing the case and death rates, then I will be very pleased.
But do I care what happens to 𝙝𝙞𝙢? No, I don’t. To imply otherwise would be hypocritical.
I wish and hope for any outcome that speeds his departure from the public scene.
If he dies, I’ll be relieved that he is not out of office yet continuing to spread his poison; if he lives, I am very thankful that his successor cannot pardon him for state violations and I want him and his family prosecuted for their numerous financial and tax crimes.
If others become infected because of his clear negligence and willingness to expose others without telling them he’s infected – which in fact is what happened – I condemn his narcissistic willingness to place others at risk.
Get a grip. This should not be about compassion for one infected individual – this is about the future of the United States of America. 45 needs to be an unfortunate footnote.
I seldom say this, but please feel free to share.

And even if I had, that's not how the virus is transmitted. He did this to himself by refusing to observe even the simplest of precautions. And he did this to countless others by encouraging his followers to do the same. We are all in this mess - with no end in sight - because he chose to ignore science.

While the rest of us masked up, washed our hands and STAYED THE FUCK HOME, his cult screamed in the faces of essential workers, spit on produce, attended COVID parties, and went out of their way to party like it's 1999. Not only is our anger righteous, it is right.

So... you know what?

FUCK. "CLASS".

And FUCK. TRUMP.
