My thoughts, my caring, my sympathy, my sadness is with the tens of thousands who have died, unnecessarily, because of the horrible beast named Donald Trump.
Let's get real here. All the crocodile tears and bullshit from the mouths of most pundits, and the phony words of sorrow in their op ed columns need to be called out for what they are. The majority of them are saying what they are expected to say, and that they "wish him a quick recovery." But the truth is, they couldn't give a rat's ass if he dies. And if he doesn't, virtually every one of them want to see him spend the rest of his miserable existence in prison for the countless crimes he's committed.
No good wishes for him or sorrow here. Donald Trump is the most miserable, cruel, uncaring, sadistic prick to ever occupy the presidency. And we're supposed to pity him now that he's brought a case of Covid-19 down on himself? I don't think so.
Some of you may condemn me as a rotten, miserable, unforgiving person. Believe what you will. But however you judge me, I think America would be a far better place without the hatred and venom with which Trump has infected us over the past few years. And I care far more about our democracy and the safety and security of all of us, far more that I care about the survival, or well being, of Donald Trump.

(6,921 posts)they won't change what happens to him. If it makes you feel better, send all you want, if it doesn't don't. I won't celebrate if he dies, he has lots of wannabe replacements just waiting for the chance to lead the Trumpist cult.

I would have rather that Herman Goering had survived his suicide attempt and lived to see trial.
My thoughts and prayers are that he received a humiliating electoral defeat and be successfully prosecuted for his many crimes, rather than dying now and being a martyr to the right wing.

(10,163 posts)Trump and his enablers knew Covid-19 was a serious threat in February, and what did he do? Refused to ramp up production of ventilators? Set Jared up as the leader of a taskforce that stole protective equipment and masks meant for state and local distribution and either kept them for some ill-defined federal stockpile or sold them? Acted like it was "no worse than a cold" while hundreds of thousands of Americans suffered and died? Encouraged mass spreader events even after numerous health officials throughout the country told him it was a bad idea?
As far as I'm concerned, he made this mess the disaster it is. Let him deal with consequences for once in his life.

(20,014 posts)I'm guessing you didn't mourn the passing of Charles Manson either.
...the Los Angeles County district attorney believed that Manson intended to start a race war. In 1971, he was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of seven people, including the film actress Sharon Tate. The prosecution contended that, while Manson never directly ordered the murders, his ideology constituted an overt act of conspiracy.
