Two people close to the White House said in separate interviews that the president had trouble breathing on Friday and that his oxygen level dropped, prompting his doctors to give him supplemental oxygen while at the White House. @maggieNYT

(4,846 posts)He said Trump didn't get oxygen today. Then he refused to say he didn't get it yesterday. Then he said Trump didn't get oxygen on Thursday. So essentially, he admitted that Trump got oxygen yesterday.
Of course, I wish he would have been straight forward with it rather than being dodgy and got the reporter to ask multiple questions to get there. But I suspect that the doctor was given a list of "things he can't say" and oxygen on Friday was one of them.

(7,432 posts)My pulmonologist has told me an O2 blood saturation level of 88 is about when they insist on supplemental oxygen. Without the cannula on, my O2 can hover around 93 and I don't notice a thing. Depending on humidity, it will only dip below 90 if I walk more than about 40 yards. And my lung function is one-fifth of what it should be for a normal adult my age.
If Trump got oxygen yesterday, I have to believe it was because his anxiety was escalating.
