(14,061 posts)This is classic CYA.
Kaitlin Collins is saying the memo is full of typos, which tells me theyre rushing to get this out.
Conley probably got a righteous ass-chewing.
Bottom line: We cant believe a damn thing that comes out of the mouths of anyone connected to this administration.

(2,276 posts)He knew he was positive for the virus before the test on Thursday, and he knowingly put other people at risk. So technically, his Dr isnt lying to say he has had the diagnosis for 36 hours (although he has been symptomatic much longer).

(36,533 posts)72 hours vs 3 days. 48 hours vs 2 days. What's the diff? Why does this matter?

(36,533 posts)How does correcting the timeline from 72 hours to 3 days make a difference? Are these guys that stupid or am I missing something?

(20,631 posts)(NOT the personal physician) said that Trump began receiving antibody treatments 48 hours ago. That would have meant that the treatment began on THURSDAY MORNING, when supposedly he only got tested on Thursday night, and found out he was positive at around midnight.
So they knew he was sick long before the official story of when they found out.

(65,227 posts)It looks like now they're using day number.
Then there's a difference. Say Monday at 3pm, PINO isn't feeling well. They test at 3:30. Positive be test at 4pm.
Monday is day 1.
Wednesday is day 3 but until 4 pm on Wednesday it's 48 hours of less. 72 hours wouldn't be until the afternoon of Day. I think this is intentional.
The change from hours to days seems an obvious attempt to muddy the waters.
Backtracking, without backtracking. Just keep everyone guessing.
This doc is "clarifying" things, and actually adding to the confusion.
Unbrilliant.

(36,533 posts)But thanks for trying to explain.
ProfessorGAC
(65,227 posts)...to explain. I was describing only how 3 days might not be 72 hours, depending on how they count.
But, since Conley made things worse, there's no way I can explain what he's talking about.
He probably can't explain it either!

(34,110 posts)With Day 1 (if you believe his symptoms started on Thursday) being only a few hours long. Friday was day 2 (he announced his diagnosis on Day 2), He was treated with experimental drugs later on Day 2, transported to Walter Reed on Day 2. Today is day 3.
Pretty clear, though that this is at least day 4 - even by their count - since he fell asleep from the fatigue on the airplane returning home on Wednesday.
