Instead of dealing with a CHILD and the virus he made way worse, THIS is what we should be on about

Stop Trying to Rename Global Warming

And not just the name, obviously.

Think of the damage being done to the environment and people because here in the USA and in Europe you have to first defend yourself from rightwing IDIOTS who arent qualified to schedule the nightshift at the local 711 let alone run countries.

Using focus groups, Luntz discovered that " 'climate change' sounds less frightening than 'global warming,' " the memo explained.
"While global warming has catastrophic connotations attached to it, climate change suggests a more controllable and less emotional challenge."

The POINT is this is what we should be able to spend our time on, STOPPING this, calling it what it IS and not what FRANK LUNTZ wants us to call it, but we CANT do anything because of the GOP actively trying to KILL ALL OF US

I'm not sure it makes the denialists any worse. I think they'll deny it regardless of what it's called.

"Global warming", while perfectly accurate, confused people who didn't understand that it doesn't mean that everything is always warmer all of the time; it means, of course, that it's an overall upward change plus weather becoming more extreme, storms becoming stronger and more frequent, etc. Climate change is probably a better umbrella term.

Like Covid, it should have never become a political issue. That's much more of a roadblock than the branding.

or promoting the name change that is

In 2002, GOP strategist Frank Luntz sent a memo to Republican candidates to create an environmental strategy. He argued that the environment is "probably the single issue on which Republicans in general -- and President George W. Bush in particular -- are most vulnerable."

That has a title complaining about 'renaming ' global warming? Sure, that's the ticket.

The old article makes the point that changing the name detracts from the issue.
That we instead have to deal with CHILDREN making it impossible for us to deal with it.
