Our middle child had to go for a ride. Sometimes all it took was the motor running.
This fits today's ridiculous motorcade event to a "t". Well witted!

One baby I knew (not mine) would immediately fall asleep in a car and wake up every time it stopped for a light or a stop sign. And then go right back to sleep when it started moving again.

Husband drove around the entire I-465 bypass around Indianapolis trying to get the kid settled in.
My next door neighbor has a little girl who requires that.
Dont think it worked on the ove-aged baby, though.
