were that those were left in the contaminated areas. I was in hospitals a lot working blood drives and I don't remember doctors running around in their lab coats.
Is that just a show for people that don't know any better, so they look more like serious doctors?

The phalanx of doctors in lab coats standing there solely for effect, Conley wearing a lab coat with the presidential seal on one breast, and his name, degree, and "physician to the President" on the other.
Those coats are NOT working wear, they're wardrobe.
