Question about the V.P.'s residence...

I understand it's on the grounds of the Naval Observatory. I would assume that means that the entire Observatory grounds is much larger, and fully secured. Is there any way to get a view of it from outside? I'd assume that, if it were visually accessible in any way, you'd see various media outlets currently stationing a reporter within view of it, on the suspicion that, should anything -- shall we say -- change in the POTUS' condition, the first inkling would be unusual activity around the residence?

Here's info about it. It's on the property of the Naval Observatory but I believe it is fairly close to a street because that's where the freepers went to beat pans and holler at the Gores: "Get Out Of Cheney's House!!"
