The doctors also need to stand fast against this kind of thing. If Dolt45 really is sick from the virus, joy rides are the last thing he needs. He needs to rest and be under steady observation in case he does crash as so many people have. During that joy ride he had no monitoring equipment and apparently no one who could recognize warning signs if they happened.

If he is sick enough to take up a hospital bed, he needs constant monitoring. Otherwise, he is play acting to get out of obligations, such as debates, or to get the sympathy vote.
