Does Mary deserve a reprieve? Her legacy has likely suffered enough.

Is it time for a new standard-bearer to carry on the torch of death?

If so, I suggest..

Typhoid Donald.

May that echo in eternity. His true legacy.

on edit..

Mary Mallon aka Typhoid Mary was not innocent.

After being diagnosed with asymptomatic Typhoid she refused to cooperate with minimal restrictions like not working as a cook.

She was put into in forced quarantine and when she was released after several years she broke her promise not to cook but used an alias and became a cook for rich families until someone became sick and moved on the next unsuspected family.

After multiple more deaths she was discovered and given permanent quarantine restrictions.

She refused to believe she was the culprit. It was thought that she had a Typhoid colony in her gall bladder but never showed symptoms. She refused an offer to go free if she would have her gall bladder removed.

She was nowhere near as infective and transmissive as legend would have it.
