still in the Cardiac Monitoring unit but MAY come home today. They gave him a rapid test when he first got there Fri. but did the nose one yesterday. He said "It felt like they were sticking it all the way to my brain!" He's not really a baby for stuff like that, so this test must really pretty rough. We're both in our late 70's so we've been staying at home, but for groceries, ever since. Hope I dont have to get tested until they find an easier way.

(16,903 posts)to enter the Dominican Republic in June. A very unpleasant experience.
The test results came back one day late, and I was subjected to ANOTHER. I wouldnt wish this on anybody. The swab is a reliable of getting the best information. The one good thing about it is that its fairly quick. Good luck!

(29,098 posts)I had one a few months ago. It certainly wasn't fun but it didn't hurt but more weird and uncomfortable. It lasts less than a minute. I'm pretty much a baby about anything invasive and cry at blood draws. This wasn't as bad as that. It really is very quick.

(32,713 posts)For me, not any pain. A little irritating, but not painful.
I was really worried about a surgery last week and had found excuses not to have it for years. Had it last Friday and never felt a thing. Butt surgery is never fun, but it turned out fine. Took one pain pill when I got home and turned out I didn't need it. Now have a stash if needed.
Best of luck to hubby.
