(62,433 posts)I think generally most folks would look for a main stream news source or two to independently report the same thing or a hospital spokes person. Is that what you mean?

(1,400 posts)who in msm these days tells the whole truth?
i'm not saying it's true. but truth tellers are a rare breed these days.
you'd be surprised what kind of connections a wedding planner ends up w.
i've got a great story about that.
rurallib
(62,433 posts)who could lose their jobs for reporting inaccuracies that seems to lend a bit more weight to their reporting than just having some person on the street tweeting something.
I would certainly no count Fox in the mix of reputable sources.
If a story such as this is true there should be plenty of reporters beating down the doors to the hospital to confirm.
I may be surprised what kind of connections wedding planners have, but I prefer the old fashioned way.

is NOT on a ventilator. This is false info spreading on twitter. Ive spoken to multiple people whove been on the phone with the governor daily after he was admitted to Morristown Medical Center for testing Covid+. They say hes in good spirits & getting good care.

(1,156 posts)Trump is deadly and clearly a serial killer. Playing down Covid19 is especially reprehensible since he clearly understood the lethality of the virus. And now Christie is suffering and in mortal danger while Trump could care less about him. Feel bad for his family, but sleep with dogs and you get fleas.

(14,971 posts)Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie remained hospitalized with COVID-19 on Wednesday for the fourth straight day.
The one-time presidential candidate has been at Morristown Medical Center since Saturday afternoon, NJ.com reported.
His condition is not known, the news outlet said.

(9,998 posts)increases the likelihood that there is some truth to this "rumor."
He's right in the middle of the most difficult period right now.
This may be "fake news," but if I had to place money on a particular outcome, I would put it on this, rather than Mr. Katz saying that he's talking and texting daily, and getting great care. Besides, I don't doubt he's getting great care, I just doubt that would be enough if the virus takes hold of his body.
I am sorry that it is not Barr in this situation.
