The answer to packing the courts is

You wanna talk about packing the courts? For a whole year republicans blocked Obama’s SCOTUS appointment because it was an election year. They packed it with Gorsuck. Now in the middle of an election they are jamming through a nominee.

Talk about packing the courts!?

And you do want to deflect it during an election, and to focus largely on why it’s wrong for them to be rushing this through before the people have spoken.

You simply need to say that Biden hasn’t taken a position on this. That the Constitution does not specify the number of members on the Supreme Court. That it is up to Congress to determine the number, and that it has increased the number several times. It’s up to Congress, not the president.

But it was Gorsuch that filled the seat that belonged to Obama.
