Upon review, it was funny. But please don't give the night to the fly. Sen Harris deserves more.

She walked that tightrope right down Pence's infected throat. She did what she needed to do. She can be tougher but she knew that would not help Joe. Those who feared a "pushy" black woman rested easy. I didn't watch in real-time but just finished viewing the video.

She deserves more credit than the fly. I know the GOP would rather be talking about the fly than having to deal with the points Harris made.

So, hats off to Sen Harris for a pitch perfect performance. (I know we all wanted her to slay the dragon but she is letting him bleed out slowly.)

And everyone thinks THEIR thread is oh so witty.

I finally gave up on trying to trash them all.

The Luntz town hall proves once again that many women do not like strong women in power either. Same kind spoke negatively of Geraldine Ferraro when she appeared in the debate against George Bush, and it was actually women whose weak support for HRC in 2016 was so disappointing too. This is what a patriarchal society has done to us. Many women are despised for having the courage, the intelligence, and opportunity to challenge men on equal footing. Sad.

The fly has gotten a mention here and there, but nothing like the obsessive posting about it I saw (and am still seeing) here.

This gleeful obsession with a fly seems to be about where you’d expect to find it - in the middle school halls of twitter and Facebook.

Kamela is getting a lot of praise from the serious pundits and analysts. A shame that many here seem more interested in the fly rather than Kamela’s stellar performance.

The fly provided that.

Kamala pwned Pence!!! All he will be remembered for is the fly, which was actually rather symbolic as well.

This line popped out at me:

studiously refraining from frowning or giving the impression that she was angry because being simultaneously angry and Black is treading into treacherous water in our culture of inequality.

She did a wonderful job, but then there is the saying that a woman has to be twice as good to be considered equal and Kamala made that look easy last night.
