Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsChris Wallace is saying on Fox 'News' ...
A major reason the commission on debates changed the next presidential debate to a virtual one is because no one wanted to be in the same room with Donald Trump.
The sound and camera crew were refusing
plus the commission was having trouble finding noncommitted voters willing to be in the audience of the townhall to ask the questions.
Even though Trump had to test negative to appear,
no one wanted to be in the room with Trump,
so says Chris Wallace ... Fox News.

Actually, it would be poetic justice, not for him but for the MAGAs, if trump flew to Moscow and stayed there to avoid jail time here, can you imagine?

(8,756 posts)A rabid crowd of maskless maggots were packed in a room screaming for Jr in Florida yesterday. The Commission could easily pack a town hall with those spewing disease riddled shit for brains. But, the production staff want no part of sharing a room with anything trump.

(81,322 posts)It makes me think back to something Jacqueline Susann (who wrote "Valley of the Dolls" - a lurid best-selling novel of sex, drugs, and Hollywood) said about Philip Roth (who wrote "Portnoy's Complaint" a lurid best-selling novel about a guy who can't stop masturbating): she thought he was certainly a fine fellow author but "... I just wouldn't want to shake hands with him."
Fun illicit teenage reading back in the late 60s. We'd sometimes bring our "outside reading" to class, prop up some textbook on the desk, and sneak OUR paperback novel onto the desk in front of it so the nun teaching up front by the blackboard wouldn't see.

Why does he think people are dying alone? He has no fucking clue. And, he only cares about himself. How many ways does he have to show it to "undecided" folks?

(3,473 posts)The best part is that if the commission's hands were forced by their tech crews, it's very unlikely that they'll be able to return to an in-person format for the final debate). Cheato will huff and puff (and wheeze and cough and gasp and choke) at the commission, but he's in absolutely no position to bargain, given that he's the one who desperately needs an opportunity to change the dynamics of the race.

Maybe there was severe pushback from the miltary (AF1) and the secret service telling him we are running out of trained personel, they are all quarantined or sick. There cant be that many crews qualified to fly AF1 or drive the beast.
