A few minutes ago. Dr. Reiner was Cheneys doctor when he was VP.
Not sure of the sit-in hosts name.
She read a quote from a former adviser to Bloomberg and the Clintons about George W. Bush, as elder statesmen of the Republican Party, endorsing Biden. Republicans should vote Democrat if only this one time.
Do you think former President Bush would* do this?
Dr. Reiner (pauses) Ill go out on a limb and say (pauses again) yes.

(8,337 posts)A Bush endorsement of Biden right before election day, can possibly shift those election day numbers in Biden's direction, dampening Trump voter turnout. Tax returns might have some of this effect as well.

(25,492 posts)I'm relatively certain he'll vote for Biden, assuming he votes. He's certainly not to vote for Trump.

(89,276 posts)it's easier to see that.
But I do hope he endorses Biden. Not sure how much it would help but it can't hurt.
It might help with some conservative leaning hispanics in Florida and Texas.

(182,921 posts)There are still a lot of Rockefeller and Reagan Republicans out there.
A few here and there in the right states just saying.
I actually work with a guy whos self identified as a Rockefeller Republican. Looks remarkably like Mr. Burns. Great guy. I really miss our lunch round table.

(11,258 posts)He may hint that he'll vote for Biden, although I also won't be shocked if he does the write-in thing again.
Laura is a completely different story. I could see her endorse Biden.

This could be a band aid moment. They created their own teabagger problem. Thats not going away but purging themselves of the Clustertrump is a long term thing. We may see the demise of a two party system - we need at least 5.

(1,725 posts)...but I bet he wants to. Was surprised to see him speak at John Lewis's funeral service. And Laura Bush and Michelle, I saw this but I can't remember what the event was... I think it was that great graduation special, or maybe there was another one too:

I used to hate the Bushes, for multiple reasons we all know about, but this sociopath makes them look pretty good these days.
