The only pain was the lidocaine shot. He’d have to be a real woos. It would have the added benefit of not being seen; it could easily be concealed under a shirt and jacket once the IVs were disconnected.

Unlikely they would have left a line in, but they have what used to be called hep-locks so that you just connect the IV line to the lock for regular infusions.

The aborted fetus cocktail he took was a one time deal. The steroid were only for 5 days and ended a while ago. He said he’s not taking anything right now.

venipunctures, typically anyhow.

Maybe he's still getting IV infusions of some kind, or maybe he's just trying to cover up the bruising (I would suspect Trump would just favor makeup, as per usual, if that were the issue though).
