I have pretty bad back problems. My life revolves around how not to be in pain.....back camera and hit seats for my car, adapting my sneakers so they are slip on, things I may need, like underwear, are kept on top of my dresser, in case I cannot bend without freezing in place, etc. while I have easy stuff for meals right now - deli meat and cheese, along with disposable plates, I would love to eat out/get takeout everyday, but covid. Since March, I have not eaten out or gotten takeout once. My back has paid me for it in pain - even with no fix “meals” of slabs of deli meat. There are a lot of different reasons people like to eat out/get takeout. Before covid, I ate out at least 5 out of seven days a week. For some of us, it is something that helps enrich our lives.

by a family member or acquaintance are twice as likely to have eaten in a restaurant, and it doesn't matter whether they were inside or outside.

The takeaway is that masks work, and you can't wear a mask when you eat. So restaurants are just not a good idea.

The same study said gyms, hair salons, anywhere where you CAN wear a mask seem safe.

It's one thing to have outdoor dining year round in Florida, Texas and Arizona. How about New York, Chicago and Boston?

that is what sane countries have done.
bars esp. but in china the second wave boiled down to ppl spreading it at mealtime.

restaurants here have survived w outdoor spaces but it is oct, and that ends soon.
lots of them will survive on carry out and delivery. but we need to subsidize the whole industry.

he is raising money to get restaurants to cook for the homeless.
and they will be feeding ppl on election day.

that way you keep your talent. otherwise they will take other jobs. and you keep your store from going dark. it's win-win-win.
