Just checked and they are scheduled to last all week, I'd rather the KGOP not have the spotlight for an entire week just 3 weeks out tbh. Next week will be the senate final floor vote too. So. 2 of the final 3 weeks spent on their turf all about her rather than COVID and tax returns, etc. Ugh.

(1,235 posts)will mobilize Democrats more. Each Democrat on the panel needs to mention RGB so that people understand what they are losing. Remember how much Actblue raised after she died?

(1,835 posts)And his approval did fall after appointing her in some tracking polls. So, hopefully it does mobilize us. Worth noting though that the media will blare her confirmation as a huge win for Trump just days before the election like they did Kavanaugh's succesful vote. That worries me.

(5,256 posts)Of course the conventional wisdom is, as usual, that everything is bad for Democrats. But it's a little hard to see how Republicans dropping everything - including pandemic relief for Americans - to rush the confirmation of a lightly qualified (if qualified at all) anti-choice extremist helps their cause or "hurts Democrats."

How the Democratic Senators question her will be important. By now, I trust all the Dem Senators have figured out their strategy for questioning her to illuminate the worst about her while not having it reflect badly on them.
Feinstein put her foot in her mouth a couple years ago for the previous nomination, but this time I think they are going to work the controversy to their advantage.
We shall see!

Plus, Americans are voting for the next president, and the next president should decide on the open SC seat.
